Are you looking for a way to make the most of the new season in Monroe, LA? Look no further than the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council's open-air Brown Bag Concerts series! Held at noon every Wednesday in April, these free concerts are sure to bring joy and entertainment to all who attend. The first concert of the fall was presented by the City of West Monroe and West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce, and featured Lee Denton as the star. The ULM Wind Ensemble will also present “Masterworks” on Thursday, April 20th. This concert will include masterpieces from the repertoire of wind ensembles by composers such as Dmitri Shostakovich, Gustav Holst and Percy Grainger.

Additionally, it will feature the world premiere of a work for band by ULM adjunct professor of music, Dr. M. The School of Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) at the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) provides students with a high level of art education, research and educational opportunities. It offers curricular, extracurricular and extracurricular activities for all students enrolled at ULM, as well as cultural services, activities, special events and performances for university, local and area communities.

VAPA also serves as an expert resource for school art programs throughout the region. Degrees are offered in various disciplines of art and music, as well as experiences in dance and theater.
